Our Horrabridge After School Club is run by a qualified Play Leader and Play Worker, and aims to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment for children aged 4-12 years.
Our staff collect each child from their classroom at the end of the school day and work with them to plan and develop activities that are stimulating and engaging. The club has a wide range of equipment and resources and ensures that all activities are suitable for all age ranges. The club also has access to the playground, wooden obstacle course and grassy area.
Each session has a flexible routine and structure depending on the needs of the children. There is plenty of time for free play and group game and activities. We also plan specifically for children aged between 4 and 5 years to ensure their progress within the foundation stage is monitored and supported.
We like the children to take pride in their club and encourage them to contribute to the planning of activities and preparation of snack. During the After School Club your child is provided with a light and healthy snack which varies from fruit to crackers to biscuits each day. We also encourage every child to develop their social skills and independence by working with one another to set up the rules and take care of the club environment and equipment.
