COVID – 19 Update 12.5.2020

Dear Parents/ Carers,

We are writing to update you on the position of The Old School following the Governments Announcement on 10.5.2020, whereby they disclosed their phased plan to ease the current restrictions in place.

Further to the information released that evening, the Department for Education have confirmed that some education settings, including early years, are expected to prepare to reopen from 1st June 2020 at the earliest.

The guidance release on Monday 11th May confirms that early years settings will be expected to open to ALL children from 1st June, provided it is deemed safe to do so and not without some considerations/ adjustments in how settings offer their provisions.

For further information please check out the latest guidance for parents and carers:

The Old School is currently drawing up a plan as to how we offer places and what adjustments we will be making to our provision in order to support keeping our staff and families safe and well. In order to do this, we will be following the relevant governmental guidance’s and any feedback we receive from yourselves.

To help us prepare our provision, we are asking all parents and carers to take the time to complete the attached survey by Monday 15th May.

This survey has been designed so that we may ascertain thoughts and feelings about the expected return date, numbers of children for whom we may need to cater and how well you felt The Old School has met your family’s needs during this challenging time.

We will of course keep you updated as to our action plan for the next phase of Covid-19, so please ensure you keep an eye on our email updates, facebook page and website.

We hope you are all safe and well and look forward to being able to continue our service to you in the near future.

Kind Regards,

The Old School Management Team
